Julia Robbie to Showcase Her Stand-Up Comedy Act This Month

NEXXXT LEVEL newcomer Julia Robbie will be performing as part of the Rockin’ Comedy showcase on Friday August 12 at The Bowlevard in Tarzana.  Fans will be treated to a different side of Julia and she’s looking forward to performing as part of the showcase that features a great selection of comedians that also includes David Burger, Ryan Talmo, Tenere Williams, Perry Kurtz and Vanja Renee as well as music performances from Candy Clock and Cursed Tongue. The entire night is hosted by Adam Feuerberg. The event starts at 9:00pm on Friday August 12, there is no cover.  The Bowlevard is located inside Corbin Bowl 19616 Ventura Blvd, Tarzana CA 91356.

Julia loves performing and adding stand-up comedy to her resume was something she’d wanted to do for some time.  She explains, “The whole reason I moved to Los Angeles was because I wanted to act in comedy for film and TV.  I did improv and sketch comedy for a while before I decided to dip my toes in stand-up comedy.  I have a great group of friends in stand-up and we hold each other accountable with our comedy goals on a weekly basis.”

She finds the vulnerability she feels on stage can be therapeutic and adds,  “Everything I talk about comes from real and personal experiences and working out my material is often very therapeutic.  When I step on stage I’m baring it all which can be scary, but I have grown to be very comfortable with it.”

Julia’s previous experience with Playboy, Playboy TV, various appearances on television and of course shooting for top adult directors have prepared her for walking onto a stage and tell some jokes with the goal of making people laugh.  Regardless of the outcome, she loves it, “Sometimes I go out there and kill and sometimes I bomb.  It really all depends on the audience and whether or not they are ready for what I have to say.  Sometimes I’ll bomb and I think “What am I doing with my life?”  Then I’ll do another show and kill it and I think, “THIS is what I’m doing with my life!”  Ultimately, I do comedy because I love to bring joy and laughter to others.”

Julia is looking forward to her adult career blossoming and has already appeared in front of the camera for Tushy, Team Skeet, BiPhoria and Gender X with shoots for Nubiles and Wicked Pictures on the horizon.
